I have Vista and use Firefox. I talked to Adobe for over an hour trying to figure this out. I cannot load library books to my computer or Nook books using Digital Editions. I do not want to download or buy anything from Barnes and Noble. I want to use Digital Editions to work with Nook in downloading and transferring library books. I was initially able to, then tried to delete icons from my Nooks. After that the Digital Editions and Nook stopped working together. I uninstalled Digital Editions and reinstalled Digital Editions. I got this message. I talked to Nook (Barnes and Noble). They suggested I uninstall and reinstall Digital Editions. I talked to Adobe who suggested the same thing. I just kept getting this message and tech people could not help me. I am authorized and have an authorization number.
I am wondering if the problem is simply that the program has been installed, uninstalled and reinstalled too many times and will not communicate with my (this particular) computer. If I had a new authorization number, would it communicate with this computer?
