repairing a double exposure - any advice?

hello all,

I have a 4x5 color negative that I accidentally double exposed. The image I want to salvage was double exposed with a relatively simple exposure of a sky and sea horizon so the information I want to remove is relatively smooth and not terribly complex. Anyone have any thoughts as to to the best approach?
