Hello, I've been googling for three days about this matter and it's the first time I'm making a DVD menu. I usually make videos for Internet viewing.
I used simple rectangles or lines as button highlights. I named them (=1) and went to "Menu/Edit Menu Color Set...". I set the Normal Group to a red color with 20 percent opacity. I set the Highlight Group 1 to the same red color but 73 percent in Selected State and 93 percent in Activated State. Just in case, I set the same values in Highlight Group 2. I only have one menu for this video.
The problem is
After I've exported my project as a DVD Image the menu highlights turn grey. Also, some of them is a bit cut off.

Here is the Menu Color Set window. I've selected preview to see the result in the preview window. You can also see the names of the layers from Photoshop.
This is the subtitles in the preview window. Red as they are suppose to be.
This is the subtitle buttons after launching the exported DVD-image. Grey, so you can't even see that the SV and EN buttons are highlighted when you put your mouse over them or select them with your remote.
And finally this is the main buttons of the DVD-menu. As you can see from the lower part of this image, it looks just fine in Encore. But the upper part of the image is from the exported DVD. Grey, and the lines to the left are cut off for some reason. I took three screenshots while holding the mouse pointer over every button and merged them to make it more illustrative.
I don't really mind the lines being cut off but.. Having red highlights is kind of vital as you can see in the subtitle button image.
Any idea what I could have done wrong? I used HTML-color "A40000". Is there only some specials colors working with DVD specs?
