After years of buying CS discs, I am so happy with Creative Cloud! The monthly fee is more manageable, and the access to updates and other CC features is killer.
So killer that I want to give a CC membership and license for software downloads to my buddy for Christmas. It's not immediately obvious, though, how to buy a second license. When I click around after logging in, the site keeps taking me to my Creative Cloud. I've clicked "join", "buy", etc.. and I can't figure out how to buy another license and have my card billed twice every month. Doesn't it seem like a more intuitive system would be for the account page to just include the number of machines you want to have licenses for? Then you just pay for the required number of licenses?
Should I just create a new login as my friend, but include my own credit card number, then tell him the login info? That seems weird to have my cc number in his account.. just hanging out there. This really should be simplier. Soon, I'm going to buy a third license so that I can use the software on all 4 of my computers, and so that he can have a license for his 2 machines. Maybe it's obvious and I just can't figure it out. The site is taking me in circles, though.
Also, I don't want to pay the $600 for one of those cards that is good for a year up-front. I just want to buy another license and have my card billed twice.
