I am using Captivate 6 (just upgraded from 5.5) and we noticed that the video demos are now being saved as mp4s. I have no problem with that, since mp4s work on more browsers than flvs. However, there does not seem to be any way to control the names of these mp4 files. And Recording_1.mp4 is not very unique. This is a serious problem.
We do many different video demo files for our courses. I often have instances where one "Chapter" in the course contains two different "Lessons" that each have a video demo. We tend to keep all Chapter resources in the same directory on our CDs. So if I have two lessons in one chapter that each have a video named "Recording_1.mp4", they are constantly overriding one another.
Surely there is a way to change the name of the output file that Captivate creates for these demos???
And yes, I know I can take the outputted mp4 file and re-add it to my project as external video, but then it will not be pre-loaded and will be subject to the delays and skips that seem to take place in any video that is added thru the "Video Manager".
In any case, its really difficult to figure out which video goes with which lesson anyway, when they all have generic, meaningless names.
Help!!
