The inability of Abode to answer the phone - at the time of writing I have been waiting twenty minutes - and on the rare occasions when they do, I rarely get a sensible response. It should by so simple:
Me: "We are one of the UK's leading book and Magazine publishers. We are thinking of entering the e-book market and want to know if Adobe do any software for this?"
Adobe: (answering the phone immediately it starts to ring). "Certainly, sir. You want our xyz ebook CS455"
Me: "Thank you so much. I'll have 150 copies."
The reality is that after half an hour a voice said hello and, before I could introduce myself, added "I am putting you through" To whom or why, I am to know.
Little wonder there is a recession.
