It is not a protected document. The text was recognized well with OCR but when I tried to delete text using the touch-up tool, only the program's recognition of it was deleted (character by character). The text itself remained visible. When I tried to change the font size, the blue boxes signifying the program's recognition of the text were enlarged, but the text itself was unchanged.
The program does warn me that "Since the original font in not available, a subsituted font for editing is used. Any changes to the text of the original font will place a new font dependency upon the document." The document I'm working with was created in Times New Roman and when I go into the font menu it is set to Times New Roman as well, so I'm not sure what the issue there is either.
I will also note that when I try to input text using the touch-up tool the cursor moves along the screen as though invisible text is being typed out.
Any help will be much appreciated.
