Hello all,
I've been following the development of Muse since beta and I'm absolutely loving it. I've been considering offering it as a service in my small print design business but my concern has been that there might be limitations compared to a true web development platform. I would hate to get to the end of a large website build and the client says "OK now we need feature X" and there's no way to do it. Obviously I don't expect to be able to build the next Facebook, but as an example I had to turn away a client just the other day who wanted a simple site full of data tables, the lack of a table feature in Muse made it near impossible to accomplish.
So my question is... what's missing from Muse in terms of website features that a client may ask for? I've been following all the forums (particularly the feature requests) and absorbed as much as I could, and I know things like ecommerce and CMS can be accomplished with adobe catalyst, but it would be great to get a clear and concise list of Muse no-no's. So far I've come up with the following but if there's any errors let me know...
• Tables (as in data tables)
• Scrolling text boxes
• User Logins
• User commenting
• User search
• Backend database features (such as store location finder etc)
• Countdown Timer
What else?
