Hello All,
I am having a few issues with getting my magazine working on Android devices
1. The Google Play Store: I created an app for this store. It works on tablets just fine but I am having trouble getting it to show up on cell phones. I thought that the Android system would automatically resize/scale. In the Google store it says in the manifest that my app is just set up for "xlarge/large" screens.
Do I need to make a smaller rendition in order to get the app to appear for normal/smaller screens as well? Or is their something I am doing wrong while I make the app in the app builder. It would seem I am doing something wrong in the app builder because thats the only way I think it identifies the manifest info?
2. Kindle Fire: Having trouble with the Amazon store particularly with the Kindle. The same folio that the Google store pulls up works just fine on the Kindle (which is good). The problem I am having is that the iPhone version of the app is also appearing in the Library. I can't figure out why this shows up as well. I am guessing its because of the size of the folio (960x640). I can download this iPhone version, but I cannot view it as it was made as a PDF.
I think I need to do 1 of 2 things, but I would like to know if anybody has a solution before I rebuild the whole magazine.
Should I:
A: Rebuild the iPhone app as a PNG so that when the Kindle pulls that folio it works? The thing I am worried about is that it will pull 2 folios of the same content for download.
B: Create a new Adobe ID and then create a new app that pulls Android folios from this account. this would eliminate cross contamination from the Apple folios and this seems to be the easiest fix.
If anybody has another way to fix or tackle this I'd appreciate it.
