Tenho recuperado capítulos de livros gerados com pagemaker 6.5 e 7, utilizando o ID CS6 e convertidos a ID CC. Em funçaõ de não publicar mais livros, o único objetivo da conversão é de eventuais atualizações pouco frequentes. O problema é que o ID CC não reconhece várias fontes como Bahamas e outras. As palavras com fonte Bahamas bold (o título dos capítulos, por exemplo) aparecem em quadro cor de rosa com o nome da fonte e o estilo (bold por exemplo) entre colchetes. Para tirar a dúvida gerei um documento de teste com um quadro de texto preenchido com palavras utilizando a fonte Bahamas bold que foi apresentado sem erro. Aproveitei o texto e fiz um copy and paste no capítulo com erro. Novamente, o texto é convertido a uma fonte que não consigo identificar. Novamente, no quadro de fonte aparece como bahamas bold entre colchetes. Este problema inviabiliza as atualizações pretendidas (eventuais) já que teria que atualizar todos os capítulos de 5 livros (uns 140 capítulos) já que para a atualização de um capítulo teria que utilizar uma fonte diferente e atualizar o resto dos capítulos. Como foram gerados com pagemaker somente substituo o capítulo modificado. Minha pergunta é se este problema tem solução. Obrigado desde já. Humberto

why does photoshop export 300 ppi image as 72 ppi?
why is it if i open an image in PS which has a dpi of 300 (image sourced from Shutterstock), work on the image and then use Export As JPG, the resulting ppi is 72 according to PS. I checked my Export Prefs and they are set to JPG and 100 for quality, so why does it export as 72 and not 300? I need to supply images in my document at 300dpi not 72dpi

STOP eyedropper tool from picking on LOCKED layers
My scenario:
I'm making an illustration based on my a image sketch. Sketch layer is set to multiply and opacity to 50%.
Problem:
My artwork layer is composed of different line weight stroke, and I want to easily use the eyedropper tool and pick from my desired lined weight. BUT Illustrator is picking from my sketch layer, even though it's locked.
Moving the sketch layer on the bottom is non-negotiable, I need it set to multiply to see my artwork as I go along.
Question:
Is there a way for Illustrator to stop picking from LOCKED layers. Any tips and suggestions to go through this?

I bought CS4 and Adobe Acrobat and now can't use them, why?
I have purchased adobe CS4 and Acrobat in the past and don't feel I should be forced to buy them again. the ones I have worked just fine for the small amount I do. I try to save a word or excel doc as pdf and it doesn't let me anymore, the option isn't available in the drop-down box under "save as". this is not right!
help me please.

Embedding fonts
Good morning, desperately seeking some help on embedding fonts and hoping someone from this community can help!
I have a pdf document generated from Canva. Canva doesn’t embed fonts when generating pdf (dont ask, that in itself seems silly for a company that tries to make print ready documents).
I have Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. When I run a preflight on it, there are a few fonts that won’t embed and in the properties it just says Type 3. I believe that these are the Cooper Hewitt and Glacial Indifference fonts that I have used in Canva.
I have gone online and downloaded these fonts and put them in my Mac user library (fonts) as well as putting the folder in Font Book (Im not clear on the difference but I read somewhere that I should do this?).
Acrobat still doesnt seem to be able to embed them. I notice that adobe uses Creative Cloud and I can download some additional fonts into my creative cloud account (although not these fonts). Is there a way I can import these fonts to creative cloud? Is there another way to skin the cat? I have no idea how to resolve this but I definitely need to embed these fonts and want to avoid having to redo the whole document in a different font.
Any advice would be very much appreciated!!

Deleting or exporting Files within an Existing PDF Document
I created a PDF document using Acrobat 9 Pro which contains 78 individual PDF's. I would like to create another, separate document using only the first 38 PDF's. I know the current Acrobat DC has an "Extract" and "Split" function, however, there doesn't appear to be one in 9 Pro. Also, for some reason the document can
only be opened by Acrobat Pro or Adobe Reader. I use a Mac and Preview should be able to open it, it doesn't.

Incorrect handling of zero-width joiner in Sinhala font
There is an issue in InDesign where certain characters in the Sinhala font do not use the correct glyph when modified by the ZWJ character.
Example:
Expected rendering:
Unicode 0DB4 + 0DCA + ZWJ + 0DBB
https://unicode.org/charts/PDF/U0D80.pdf
When the ZWJ is not applied (as in InDesign)
Both forms are phonetically similar (and can be understood), but is unsuitable for general use in print.
Many other combinations also render incorrectly
There is no Sinhala language selection in character options. Also, there is no South East Asian options or Indic options that I can see anywhere in the preferences (unlike Illustrator or Photoshop, as mentioned in other forum questions)
Is there some way to make the font render correctly?

Not sure how it happened/who deleted. Though i can change my credential now, is there anyway to find who has accesed my account by location?
FYI, I have not shared my credential to anybody.
I used to come here to get solution and fix for Adobe experience cloud related issues, but it seems now the forum itself has some space to fix.

Illustrator Calligraphy Pen Pressure not Working
Hello,
my computer lost it's battery during the night yesterday, and when I went back onto Illustrator after recharging my computer to draw, the calligraphy pen tool that I was using did not respond to any pressure from my drawing pen, and it would only create a line of just one thickness, just like in that 5pt. or 15pt. pen default mode. I restarted my Wacom pad, and also tried the calligraphic pen tool in Photoshop, which worked by the way, but still did not work on Illustrator. I have also tried opening and closing the file again. I am working on a time sensitive project, and it's really frustrating that this issue is happening to me now.

How do I send a font family?
I have sent some artwork created in Illustrator to a colleague. She can open one of the fonts that are needed but not the BOLD version that is required. What am I doing wrong? Or what is she doing wrong? A window pops up saying that the font is not available on her computer and she is unable to click on Activate Fonts.
Any ideas?

I am a pretty basic designer, and I do mainly party flyers, but I want to take it to a much more advanced level, and I can't find any matching course... I am not looking for a course for making party flyers obviously, But something that can help, like photo manipulation and unfortunately I don't know what else to call it other than Digital Art. Any suggestions for any free course?

Making a traced image a swatch made my file too big
Hello! I dragged an image into illustrator, image traced it and then dragged it into swatches. I then used live paint to fill the object I wanted to add that swatch to. I filled my object with the swatch, I then edited the swatches and messed around with the pattern options. After that I noticed that my file was laggy as if the swatch made my file size way too big. Also, when I hover around the object I filled it shows random anchor points that I can't select. It seems like the image I used/image traced is in the background , how can I get ride of this?

Searching LR for photos without keywords
Since moving from LR Classic, the habit of adding or managing keywords has been difficult. How do I search for photos that haven't got any keywords at all?
Ideally Classic and LR would sync keywords (as Classic this does allow such a filter), but this doesn't appear to be a feature that is supported.

help making cribbage board lanes for laser engraver
I am trying to make cribbage board lanes to be laser engraved on a piece of wood. I made one in sketchup but sketchup doesn't make true arcs so that it won't work. I'm comfortable with photoshop and sketchup but clueless in illustrator. In sketchup I was able to turn an object that was repeated frequently into a "component". I could then edit the component once and all instances of it in my layout would be updated to reflect the changes. SmartObjects in photoshop could be used in a similar manner. Is there away to do this in illustrator. I can't find any reference to smart objects in the menus. Thanks.
