Hi,
Once again, here is a slight "Off-topic" question, and I am happy to chat somewhere away from the forum if it is a hassle, just let me know where! Image may be NSFW.

Is there anyone on the forum that does lighting as well as after effects work? I am hacing some serious hassles lighting our Blue Screen properly, and as a resault, keying is almost impossible. We currently use 5 Red Heads to light the blue screen, but due to their warm colour, it does have an effect on the model. We are trying to light an area 6m by 3m. We also have a few flourescent lamps 300W colour corrected bulbs for daylight.
What concerns me, is all of thesde lights together, still do not light up the scene enough for a good keyable shot.
So basically, my question is this.... WHat on earth do people out there use to light big keying studios? Image may be NSFW.

I know there is no "One size fits all" fix, but I cant get my head around what kind of bulb we would want. The red heads seem to be too localized, the flourescents are way to soft - maybe I should be grouping a bunch of flourescents together to light a specific patch of the blue screen - I have no idea!
So, I do apologize for hijacking the After Effects forum, but I hope one of you wouldnt mind having a little chat with me about lighting?
If all else fails, I will have to look around for a local lighting expert and get them in for advice,
Thanks guys
Pierre
