How to call applescript code from javascript..

I want to run some applescript code via javascript in illustrator

pls help

i start the rendering process, but when it is finished the 3D object hasnt been rendered at all. Does anyone have an explanation for this?

I have looked under every tab and cannot seem to find the image processor to export a bunch of images from raw to jpg. Granted, I just started using Bridge a couple weeks ago, so I wasn't super familiar with it to begin with. But I can't find this feature, and it is an important feature for me, I don't want to have to open several hundred photos in Photoshop just to turn them into jpgs. Please help. Thank yoU!

I want to know if Adobe Illustrator can do the following:

I have two different illustrations of the same thing but they are at different scales.  One illustration is in color and the other is in black & white.  Both illustrations have a few common reference features.  I need to adjust the scale of one of the illustrations so that it aligns with the other one.

I think I want to use the color illustration as a base layer, and the B&W illustration as a transparent top layer.  I want to adjust the scale of the black and white illustration by stretching and shrinking it so as to get the common reference features to align.  To be able to see the common reference features in both illustrations, I need the top layer to be “transparent”.

Once I've got both illustrations to align at the common reference features, I want to merge the B&W illustration down over the color illustration so as to obtain one final illustration that shows the features of the B&W illustration on top of the color illustration.

Is that “overlay” feature something that Adobe Illustrator can do?

I am a relative novice with Indesign so apologies if I am missing the obvious. I am importing a document from word into Indesign but when I place it, the second half of the article is missing. I have checked for hidden text and I have ensured the frames are linked. I just can't figure out what's wrong.

I started to work on a project in Premiere 2018. After the update, the project converted to 2019 without a hitch. Everything was working fine until this morning. Premiere opens, and when I select a project to open, the project opens, but the window never shows. Premiere seems to function as if the project were open, but there are no windows on my desktop. I need to export this video today. HELP!

How do I achieve the dotted half tone effect below? I've posted the original picture that was used, but I've no idea how to replicate that effect.

Last week, I received an e-mail by Adobe telling me that I have to upgrade to Windows 10, because from 2019 on, Adobe apps won't work on older Operating systems.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate and I did not intend to upgrade to Windows 10.

Does that mean that I won't be able to use my Adobe Creative Cloud products, especially Lightroom Classic CC in the future? Or does it mean, that LR Classic CC will be kind of discontinued? This would make me change from Adobe to a different software.

Everytime i click on the canvas, the workingspace turns a little bit darker, and it's so annoying, it happens on ctrl+z press too. It seems to be the graphic processor, because it doesnt happen when i disable it, but i need the zoom and rotating features to work. i tried all the steps on the GPU troubleshooting faq and it didn't work, installed latest windows 10 updates too, nvidia drivers, everything, and it just doesn't work.

I have never used Creative Cloud's storage, and probably never will. I have no files in the folder, and it is thus, irrelevant.

It appeared 2 days ago in file explorer, under /C:/users/ME... and it added a shortcut to itself in the favourites section in file explorer.

I deleted the favourite, and the folder, but the next day, when I turned on my laptop, both had appeared again.

Same thing again today.

Is there a way to permanently remove the folder, or at least stop the favourites shortcut from re-appearing?

I want to create an action that involves distorting a shape. I want to be able to distort it from one side and with a specific distance but when I create the action and start recording if I select the shape, then the Free Transform Tool (E) and perform the distortion it does not appear on the Actions panel as a step being recorded, any other action does appear (moving, scaling, changing color) but that specific one does not. I have tried to find it in the top menu to add it as a nonrecordable task using the "Insert Menu Item" option from the Actions panel menu but I can't find anything that looks like it.

I have tried looking for tutorials or a similar question that has an answer but all I get as results for my search are videos on how to use the Free Transform Tool or how to use Actions to automate tasks.

Am I doing something wrong? Is there a way to do it or is it not possible at all to record an action done with the Free Transform Tool?

Is it possible to take your marked keyword and have it overlay like a watermark?  I know you can do it on a slide show but I would like it done as I export to JPG.  It would look something like this.  Thanks

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong and I swear I had this working before but haven't been doing this kind of work lately and now what I thought I could do in the past, doesn't work.... so the context and problem:

I use a multiple level hierarchical keyword list and then I use smart collections to show which images Do Not have particular keywords. (Using this criteria = Keywords - doesn't contain - Brand) For example, one of my top level keywords is Brand. Under Brand there are hundreds of brand names. I apply those brand names to images using the shortcut, ctrl+K and it nicely autofills. I enter only the brand name...  In the Keyword List, the brand name is checked and the set's head/title Brand has a dash.

note: all keywords and all levels of the list are set to Include on Export, Export Containing Keywords and Export Synonyms...

Here's where I've been having problems lately. If I select the image I've keyworded as explained above, and then choose Enter Keywords > Keywording (Keyword Tags) I see only the brand name I've entered. If I choose Keywords & Containing Keywords or Will Export, I see,  Brand, brand name   But my smart collection sees only the brand name and not Brand. I'm not going to make an individual criteria for each brand name... I've tried using Any Searchable Text or Any Searchable Metadata in the smart collection criteria, and I've ctrl+S (saved metadata to img file) and to no avail. It does not seem to know that Brand is there.... (and it is because Bridge sees it!)

I know this used to work in the past, but doesn't anymore... I could easily see which images didn't have any keywords from a particular hierarchical set by finding or not finding the sets "header". (e.g. Brand>brands...) and all I had to do was enter one keyword.... now I have to type in Brand and the brand name under it...

Hope someone has ideas or can point to something that I may have forgotten or am missing.

Hi all! I have some PDF slides that are a mix of texts and images. Could Acrobat export the PDF as an MS word doc with images mixed in so I don't have to insert the images one by one after I extracted the text? If Acrobat cannot do this, is there any other software can do this? Thank you!

In april I began getting the "your software is not genuine" pop-up. So I contacted Adobe. I was told that, yes, my software was in fact genuine but I would have to reload the programs for the pop-up to stop. I was issued an NEW serial number and used it to reinstall the programs. Today I began receiving the pop-ups AGAIN!!! It says the serial number I was given is not valid! ADOBE GAVE IT TO ME!

What the hell is going on? Will I have to go through all that again?

I have successfully been able to use the crop tool to divide my screen between 2 video clips. However, when the shorter clip ends, I only have the 1 clip playing on just 1 side of the screen. I tried to undo the cropping at this point, but the whole cropping disappeared from the beginning. I then tried to simply copy the longer clip above to another track. This way, I could just shorten the original longer track to have it stop when the shorter clip ended, and then have the copy take over. However, I could not figure out how to paste a copy of a clip to a fresh track. Of course, it's easy to copy a clip, and I can go to the top toolbar and hit the paste item, but a new clip does not show itself in a fresh track when I do this--even if I set the timeline to the area I want. I guess I'm not able to choose (highlight) a new track when there is nothing yet in it.

Thus, if you're still with me---and I could explain it differently if I'm making it too complicated: is there a way to either 1)make my cropped video go back to full  size at a certain time in the timeline, or 2) make a copy of a clip and paste it to a fresh track? Of course, if I did paste it, I would hope it didn't carry over the original cropping attribute, or else this 2nd choice would be useless.
